The oceanview Hope Ranch home of Democratic activist Betty Stephens provided a spectacular setting on Nov. 14 for a fundraiser for Susan Jordan’s 35th District Assembly run.
While watching the sun set over the Pacific, guests listened to former State Superintendent of Schools Delaine Eastin and former State Senator Sheila Kuehl explain why Jordan is the candidate they support in the 2010 race.
Both Kuehl and Eastin stressed Jordan’s work ethic, well-rounded background, statewide support and activism as well as her values. “We need somebody with a brass backbone to get the job done,” Eastin said.
Hosts for the event included Betty Stephens, Pierce & Keely Brosnan, Julia Louis-Dreyfus & Brad Hall, Dan Emmett, Judith Hopkinson, Lillian Lovelace, Assemblywoman Fiona Ma, Sara Miller McCune, Susan Rose and Allan Ghitterman.
