Ventura City Firefighters Announce Support for Democrat Susan Jordan for Assembly

Assembly District 35 candidate Susan Jordan continues to win strong support from the first responders who protect us. The Ventura City Firefighters Association, IAFF Local 3431, has now joined the Ventura County Professional Firefighters Association; Oxnard Firefighters, Local 1684; the Ventura County Deputy Sheriffs Association and Oxnard Police Chief John Crombach in endorsing Jordan’s Assembly bid.

Jordan’s commitment to public safety is unwavering and her principled, studied and determined approach to working for issues that matter to the district’s citizens has won her praise and endorsements from many corners.

“Ventura firefighters are proud to support Susan Jordan’s bid for Assembly District 35. Her integrity, hard work and knowledge of the issues facing our state are impressive. Susan understands that public safety is a top priority for our citizens,” said Ben Davis, President of the Ventura City Firefighters Association, IAFF Local 3431, which represents the firefighters and paramedics employed by the City of Ventura.

“We support Susan Jordan because she’s not afraid to do the right thing, even if it isn’t the most popular. In her work as an environmental advocate, she always takes public safety into consideration, and Susan will do the same as our Assemblymember,” said Ventura County Professional Firefighters’ Association President Chris Mahon.

“Firefighters support Susan Jordan for Assembly because she has proven herself as a responsible, effective leader who stands by her principles. We can count on her to make sure public safety is the top priority,” said John Albin, President of Oxnard Firefighters, Local 1684.

“Susan is honest, direct and a great communicator. Her record pushing Sacramento to make the tough decisions for the right reasons demonstrates that she is the best candidate, hands down. Now is the time we need representatives like Susan Jordan,” said Matt Findlay, President of the Ventura County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association.

Jordan welcomed these endorsements to the growing list of leaders and organizations locally and statewide supporting her race.

“I have tremendous admiration for the work our law enforcement officials do. Every day they risk their lives to protect our communities,” Jordan said. “So I am very deeply honored to receive the support of these key public safety leaders.”
